I tried hard to get this quick overview on keyword research down to 60 seconds - just couldn't do it. But it is only 83 seconds so still won't take long to watch. The key points are: Brainstorm with friends, family and colleagues Check out online forums for popular discussions…
I had an interesting discussion with someone today from a Web Design Agency about organic SEO – he was of the view that writing content with the express purpose of gaining links to increase a website's search engine rankings could not really be termed organic. In his opinion all content…

Great quick checklist for on-site SEO and, obviously you can’t say much in 60 secs but would like to see more detail and especially examples of good optimised titles and img alt text. How many words/characters should I use for image alt text?
You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find
this matter to be actually something which I think I would never understand.
It seems too complicated and extremely broad for me. I am looking forward for
your next post, I’ll try to get the hang of it!
Write more, that’s all I have to say. Literally, it seems as
though you relied on the video to make your point.
You clearly know what you’re talking about, why waste
your intelligence on just posting videos to your weblog when you could be giving us something informative to read?
Thanks for the comment – it’s always good for user engagement to have some different types of media. Many people prefer to watch a quick video, which was the purpose behind this one, rather than read a lengthy article when they just want to get an overview of a topic.
Many thanks for quick reminders but you don’t mention keywords or backlinks or social media. I believe these are all needed for good SEO – what is best way to find good backlinks now that busness directories and article directories not available any more? Finding good sites to link back can take a long time and meantime only few visits to website.
Thanks for your comment Bhavesh,
The best way to get good backlinks is to first write good content that someone else might want to publish or, if you place it on you own website, that someone might want to link back to.
Once you have your content browse online or or social media to find possible publishing places.
The key is writing excellent content…
Thanks – like the animated video and it’s a good reminder of all the things I haven’t yet changed on my website. What types of call to action do you recommend and is there a reliable WordPress plugin for calls to action? What other ways do you suggest to keep visitors on-site?
